Privacy Policy
Effective 7 October 2026
Don't Move is made by Stølen Development AS, Norway, which is responsible for this policy. This policy explains what the app does with information. The short version: there is no account and your results stay on your iPhone. The game is free and shows ads from Google, and Google receives some information about your device to show them.
What we collect
Nothing. Don't Move has no account and no analytics, and the app sends nothing about you or your results to us. We see only totals from Google (how many ads were shown and what they earned), never information about you.
Advertising
Don't Move shows full-screen ads between rounds, never during one. The ads come from Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited in the EEA, Google LLC elsewhere). To show an ad, measure it and prevent fraud, Google's software in the app receives information from your iPhone, such as your IP address (and the approximate location it implies), the device model, iOS version, language, the app, and how you interact with the ad.
- Personalised ads need your permission. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks you after your first round; you can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy Choices. Without consent, Google shows ads that are not based on your personal data.
- Apple's tracking prompt asks whether Google may use your iPhone's advertising identifier. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", it is not used; you can change this in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Google's own use of this information is described in its policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
What stays on your iPhone
- Motion data. During a round the app reads your iPhone's motion sensors to calculate your Drift Score. This happens on the device, in real time. Raw sensor readings are not stored. A simplified trace of each round (how far the phone drifted, twenty times a second) is saved with the result so you can replay it.
- Your results. Scores, grades, the mode you played, the date and the player names you type in Pass & Play are saved on your iPhone so you can see your history and bests.
- Your settings. Sound, haptics and display choices are saved on your iPhone.
- Diagnostics. If you have allowed it in iOS, Apple's MetricKit hands the app performance and crash reports about the app. They are kept on your iPhone, the newest twelve only, and never sent by the app.
Your iPhone's own backups (iCloud or a computer) may include this app data, according to your device settings. Apple handles those backups.
Sharing
The app shares something only when you ask it to: Share on a result (an image, a short video, a text or a challenge link with your score and mode, no name), Export Results (a CSV file of your results) or Share Diagnostics. It hands these to the iOS share sheet, and you choose where they go. Opening a challenge link on our website loads that page from GitHub Pages like any other web page; the score is part of the link and the page sends nothing back to us.
Contacting us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Deleting your data
Use Settings → Delete All Results to remove your history and the round traces. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
Children
Don't Move is a game for everyone and is not directed at children under 13. We collect no personal data from anyone; the advertising information above goes to Google, not to us.
Your rights
Because the app holds no personal data about you on our side, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete. For advertising, use Settings → Privacy Choices and Apple's tracking setting, or contact Google about the data it holds. For email you have sent us, you can ask for access or deletion at any time. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new effective date.
